Our Rates
Here at Verve, we think you should have a rough idea of what you're up for before you contact us. We're a planned and booked service — Monday to Friday, standard working hours.
Our hourly rates
Work is charged by the hour in 15-minute increments and prices exclude any materials required.
Services
Plumbing: $98.00 + GST per hour
Gas fitting: $110.00 + GST per hour
Drainlaying $98.00 + GST per hour
Minimum job charge
Every job has a minimum charge of $200 + GST, regardless of how long it takes.
This applies to small jobs where the time on site is less than what the minimum covers. It means you always know the floor before we arrive — no grey area on a quick job.
If we find something additional while we're there, we'll call you before we do anything further. Nothing extra gets touched without your go-ahead.
Travel
We're based in New Plymouth. All jobs include a travel charge to cover getting to your site and back.
Zone A — Central New Plymouth
$32 + GST flat rate
Covers New Plymouth suburbs: Fitzroy, Bell Block, Merrilands, Vogeltown, Strandon, Spotswood, Frankleigh Park and surrounding areas within approximately 15 km of the city.
Zone B — Outer Taranaki
$32 + $0.70/km + GST
For jobs beyond central New Plymouth: Including Inglewood, Waitara, Stratford, Oakura, Okato, Ōpunake, Urenui, Onaero, Mimi, Hawera, Mokau and all rural Taranaki locations.

Gas Certificates
Required for all gasfitting work and issued on job completion. This is the regulatory certificate confirming the installation meets NZ gas safety standards.
Gas Safety Certificate: $50.00 + GST
Certificate of Compliance: $95.00 + GST
Quotes and materials
We can provide written quotes for jobs before work starts. Labour and standard materials are included in the quoted price. Significant supply items like hot water cylinders, filtration units, tapware are quoted separately and transparently.
We can source and supply materials through our merchant accounts.
All prices are exclusive of GST unless stated.
Payment
We invoice on completion. Payment is due within 7 days by bank transfer — details are on the invoice. For larger jobs, we may request a deposit to cover materials at booking.
