Verve Plumbing Services was founded in 2019 by Carlin Lepper— a certified plumber, gas fitter and drainlayer with 14+ years of trade experience across residential, renovation and new build work in Taranaki.
Since then, we've grown into a two-van operation. Jake Leuthard-Richards joined the Verve team in 2026 as a qualified tradesman bringing 8 years experience in plumbing, gas fitting and drainlaying — and the same commitment to quality workmanship and a tidy worksite.
Together we take on the renovation and upgrade work we're built for — bathrooms, kitchens, hot water systems, water filtration, house repipes, stormwater and sewer drainage, as well as new builds — across New Plymouth and throughout most of Taranaki.
We're Plumbing World supported and a member of Master Plumbers. When you book Verve Plumbing Services, you get qualified tradesmen doing the actual work — not a large company that sends whoever's available.

About Carlin Lepper
Director/Certified Plumber, Gasfitter, Drainlayer
Carlin started Verve after years working for others — he wanted to run a plumbing business the way he thought it should be done: turn up when you say you will, give honest advice, leave the site tidy, and never leave a customer guessing on price. As a certified plumber, gasfitter and drainlayer he has worked across residential, renovations and new builds throughout Taranaki.
Outside work, Carlin is a cyclist and football fan (and is known to man the goal at Rangers on the odd winter Saturday morning) — and dad to Neve and Findlay alongside partner Beth. The Tour de France pipe-line livery on the vans? That's all Carlin.

Jake joined Verve in 2026 and brings 8 years of trades experience across residential, renovations, new builds and maintenance. He's a keen runner and keeps busy over summer, playing cricket for Taranaki.
Jake is a qualified plumber, gas fitter and drainlayer and takes the same approach to every job: do the work properly, communicate clearly, and leave the site as you found it.
